This is a Small basic write up on how we will be fighting Kirin. This strat is used by Many LS and used by use as well. We just need to polish up on our loose ends.
I will change a few things to answer questions from those asked and to change up things we all fell need changed. If you have a question as to why something is done the way it is fell free to ask, if you dont think something is right state why and what you suggest.
Minis
a. Your are to be in this spot is you are weaken.
b. This is where mages stand during minis battle.
c. melee and tanks are to do what they can to keep Mini's here to disposal.
Kirin
d. when fighting Kirin, Your are to be in this location if you are a mage or rang attack. May have to move a bit but your goal is to be close enough to cure or DD as far away from Kirin as possable. SMN of course will need to move in to do BP.
As you can see on the very badly drawn map I did, their is a circle with arrows on it, this is to be our kite path. Kite path is just outside the pillars in the room.
Reasons for this are.
1. Its a path so we know where Kirin is going.
2. When Kirin follows this path it will allow tanks that do not have hate to be behind Kirin for SA/TA.
3. we can set up a timed BP and MB so that SC have full effectiveness and also give a bit of time for tanks to get more hate.
4. Helps mages running around to cure tanks.
5, bla. bla. bla.
Our basic setup will be.
Small kite party of a kiter refresher and healer.
1. PLD or NIN
2. RDM or BRD
3. WHM
4. RDM or BRD not really needed but if extra people them it all good.
5. PLD or NIN, 50% of time won’t have this spot filled
6. PLD or NIN, 99.9% of time won’t have this spot filled
Reason for small kite party is we need as many people on minis as possible and well it’s a kite party. Voke run, voke run. Kiter and healers is all that is needed.
Full alliance of 18 and if their is more then 18. Main tank or main alliance puller will CFH so outside people can kill.
Party 1 Tank party
Party 2 Melee Heavy Party
Party 3 mage Heavy party
Outside alliance, who ever is extra party up and wait for CFH on Minis
We will Pop Kirin with a small kite party. These people will follow Kite path also.
1 pld or NIN from main alliance will pull minis to designated area. Melee are NOT to engage till main tank has provoked and is in designated area. Once main tank has the Mini Puller will go back out and wait. Kirin as summoned his mini back to back. The puller will kite the mini as long as needed. Up untill the first mini is down. When that mini is down puller brings mini to alliance. In the rare case where 3 mines are out. We will have to assign a 2nd mini kiter. We have to keep minis off Kirin kite party. If Kirin kite party gets minis and kirin chance are they will wipe. Not good. ; ;
Main alliance will proceed to depart the mini god.
Skill chains can happen but it’s in our best interest to depart these as fast as possible. Waiting for a SC to MB waists time. Yes SC/MB DO more damage but DPS vs. SC/MB damage on minis, DPS wins. So everyone is to go all out and nuke WS, BP on these and destroy them fast.
POP rotation minis can determine the outcome of fight. I have wiped to kirins minis before and we fully recover for a win. So it is possible to wipe and win.
Genbu Mini. nothing special here. Just destroy.
Byakko Mini, nothing special here. Just destroy. Mage try to stay out of paraliga range.
Seiryu Mini, a lot weaker then it big brother but still deadly. Hundred fists will take out a tank and alliance. We will either shadow bind, PLD will invincible or RDM will chainspell stun. Honestly all that is needed is Shadowbind. More on shadowbind down the page. If shadowbibd is broke. PLD will invincible.
Suzaku mini, a lot weaker then it big brother but still deadly. Chainspell will take out a tank and alliance fast. We will either shadow bind or RDM will chainspell stun. And all will run till CS is up. Honestly all that is needed is Shadowbind. More on shadowbind down the page. If shadowbibd is broke. RDM will then proceed to chainspell stun.
Once all the minis are down. Main alliance tank party will drop and put up flag. Alliance leader will invite Kite party and Kite party will fill its ranks with Tanks. By this time we would hope Kite party tank has crazy hate set. Everyone in main alliance will move to center of circle that Kirin is being kited. All other will retreat to tunnel and put flags up.
Tanks with out hate will run directly behind Kirin voking and waiting for SA/TA at stop. Melee will then run after Kirin and start swinging their sticks and start the SC rotation. We need a Skill Chain leader. He/She will setup these SC and partners. Kirin is earth based and is weak "LOLweak" to Wind spells. A SC of Fragmentation is our goal. If not then Dark.
1 or 2 skill chain pair is all we need. More then that will complex this fight. 2X sam or ???/sam is ideal. Mainly due to meditate. The person starting skill chain will announce in alliance that Next stop they will be sc. Next stop will be AM, Stone V stonega IV. At that stop any tank that does NOT have hate will stand behind Kirin to take that SA/TA. Once this is done all tanks start kite path till its determined who has hate and is sharing hate. Again any tank with no hate needs to get back behind Kirin building hate and waiting for SA/TA. All other Melee will spam TP 150+. Why 150+? cause this allows for the WS that most will be doing to have better acc or CRIT. also gives time for tanks to build hate.
SMN will do what ever that do that’s most damaging. Diablo’s has a good Damage spike on Kirin and has a ranged to help contact. SMN will try to BP all together. This will help the tank have time to build up hate from the BP while BP timer is counting down.
MNK will keep in constant contact to party leader for swap in for CHI blast. If their isn’t enough room for them to stay is whole fight. Sorry to say but THF might stand on sidelines till about 10%-15% left on kirin. Depending on attendance and what DD we have.
PLD not in main alliance can stand in center to assist healing. Yay for High Defence phsudo-whms lol
Main Tank party WHM will chase Main tank with hate from with in the kite circle. With refresh and Ballard this will not cause a big MP issue. You will need to rest time to time. But tanks can out run most attacks. Or back up WHm can cure till Main WHm is set.
Tanks Kite path is important. This helps setup timed attacks. Keeps aoe out of mages area. and basically show our skill. If the kite path starts to get out of shape all BP WS and melee will stop and everyone will retreat to center till tanks regather their barring and get Kirin going in the path again. Also Tank hate is important and if we time things like BP and MB and SC this gives tanks time to build hate. This is not a timed battle and no need to rush.
K, now onto Shadow Bind.
All those that will have a weapon out on a god WILL have filter setup so that /P chat is on hold. And if you are having issue seeing the message the boss has 2houred and the animation that the boss has 2hred you will then filer out everything but /p /l /say /sh. Once you have trained yourself to pay attention to the chat log as well as the screen you will do this. All other chat logging is not needed. Damage someone takes is not needed. Damage that someone did is not needed. Turn all this stuff off for Boss fights. Shadowbind has to be quick and our rangers know this and that’s why they do it. Once shadow bind is called you run away. This would not be hard being as you should not be locked onto the boss. If you like being locked onto the target then be fast about unlocking the target. I myself ussualy am locked on but till 2hr I ussaly only look at chat log. The bosses usually don’t wait too long to use their 2hr. keeping an eye on things till then is in all our best interested.
