Filters And Configuration
Things to prepare before entering:
  • /autotarget off -You must do this or you will attack the wrong monsters.
  • Remove unnecessary chat messages from macros:
    • Things like "/em blasts Hadoken" or "/p Hadoken -> Target" need to be removed from your macros. You can temporarily cancel them by adding another "/" symbol in front but I recommend simply having a Dynamis Macro set.
    • Things like "Gather together for Protectra" are needed, however.
Chat Filters:
  • Enabling hold filters:
    • Go into Config > Windows
    • Reactive window sizing: Off
    • Maximum lines displayed: 8
    • Resize time: Max
  • Go into Config > Chat filters
    • Hold - Tell
    • Hold - Party
    • Hold - Linkshell
    • Tells, party chat, and linkshell chat will be held at the top four lines of the chat window if lots of messages are scrolled.
Targeting macros:
  • /assist <tankname>
  • /target <stnpc>
  • Spam your /assist <tankname> macro so you know what to kill, unless you're killing statues.
  • /target <stnpc> is a great way to target monsters without having to cycle through players.
  • You can also add <stnpc> to the end of other macros, such as: /ma Slow <stnpc>
